Ep03 Part3

The party disguised the bodies as being mauled by a bear. Then hide further away from the fort. Zane changed into a mouse and scouted the fort learning there is more than 30 guys in it.

Then the headed back to Silverymoon, but stopped to investigate the door at the Greymoor ruins.

In the secret door they found some stairs leading down.
They made it past a magically trapped flame door.
Opening the door lit a trough on fire that lead to a flame bowl.

Ep03 Part2

Got some free beer at the tavern and stayed the night. The stronger commoners cleaned up the bodies.

The party headed up to the ruins and found an abandoned camp sight. They were able to determine it has been left for about 3 days, which is when they rescued the professor. Looking around the area Ember noticed a secret door. Using nature he hid it better, while making a note on its location. The party also found a trail leading further towards the mountain. They followed this and eventually found a Netheril fort. Decided to wait till night and have Zane sneak in. While waiting and observing the were discovered by a scouting party which they quickly dealt with, but Asher took some serious damage and was knocked unconscious.

Now that a scout party is missing what will be the fort’s reaction, and what will the players do now?

Ep03 Part1

Learned some general information in Silverymoon about Netheril and Redski.

The university is strongly against redski, but the military doesn’t see him as a worthy threat. There isn’t much animosity toward Netheril and no knowledge of the Dark Mistress.

The Party went towards the ruins of Darkmoon to look for the Dark Mistress, and ran into a fight at a tavern that broke out with some werewolves. A drunk was killed and a were wolf, the rest were driven off.

Now what to do about the dead and the tavern.

Ep02 Part2

Players rolled a 30 for knowledge history of the Darkmoon Ruins. Were able to catch up to the kidnappers and quickly defeat them. Ankhegs were only level 3, but proved well by grabbing and running. Players failed history check for Rash.

Party rolled a 30 for heal and cured the drug in Elros. Learned about Redski and returned to Silverymoon.

Next up is to level up to 9 and raid Redski’s tower.

Start Episode02


Players arrive back in Silverymoon.
They notice the cold front but know(high nature check) that it isn’t severe weather.

They meet with RW who is dissappointed they lost the gem to Redski, but doesn’t fault them. He directs them to Elros.

Party goes to see Elros, but his office is closed. Meet a student out front who mentions him leaving with Apprentice Danica about some robes. They fail a street wise check, but go talk to RW who tells them where the staff gets their robes.

The characters go to Marie’s clothing store and find it closed. They notice some noise inside, knock on the door and it goes quiet. Expected Zane to sneak in as a small creature, but instead they looked in the windows and noticed some people. Zane called out that she saw them and they started running. Asher broke down the front door and was attacked by a cockatrice. Regdar broke in the back door and was attacked by a couple thugs.

The fight was rough, but Regdar dealt out some serious damage (using all his dailies) and Zane kept a thug from escaping. After defeating the occupants of the shop the party found a note.

Need to roll history checks on Rash.

Episode 01 Part 3

Players learned the wizard was Redski and that he was behind the figurine of gibberling summoning.

Players did not learn why he wanted the gem.

Players tried to keep it from him.
Lukan had the gem, and was dominated. A vampire got the gem, then moved to hand it over to Redski. Redski fought a little bit, but not much. After seeing his vampires shadow shroud go down and having the gem he turned invisible and teleported/flew away. The players killed 2 vampires and another one got away barely alive.

Episode 01 Part 2


Players took an extended rest before venturing on after the battle with the spiders.

Players went into the ruins of Greyston. They avoided the lizardfolk, but when opening the door to the captains quarters they were discovered. Massive battle against the lizardfolk, one ran off to get reinforcements into the captain’s quarters, but was stopped before getting too far.

They took a short rest before continuing into the treasure room where they quickly and easily defeated the hostiles. Now they have emerged from the ruins and are confronted with an elf wizard and some vampires.

Episode 01 Part 1


Summarized the completion of Episode 00, then ran a brief dialog with Richard Worthington, who asked the PCs to find the Gem of Rime while he looked into the figurine of gibberling summoning.

Episode00 part 2 Recap


  • Party found figurine then identified it
  • Party destroyed figurine of gibberling summoning – releasing the magic smoke.
  • Party learned about Thomas Birch receiving it from R.W. Who he thought was Richard Worthington. Alan had a history check also reveal Redki as an option.

Hand wave the end of Episode00

  • Relief comes to town – players need to ID some craftsmen
  • Players return to Everlund and talk to commander Damien. Quest reward?
  • Follow up on R.W. – Richard Worthington is a professor at the Silverymoon University.

2011/06/17 Review

Played through the fight at Oak Mill. Players discovered the figurine and destroyed it. Learned of the events of the attack. Learned of Richard Worthington, and a little of Redki.

Need to figure out how the package got to Oak Mill.

The battle with the gibberlings was difficult but the party won. Would have gone better if the players knew the characters better.
